1933 Industries Inc., a publicly traded Canadian cannabis company, has come out swinging this week by unveiling a strategic partnership with mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Sarah Moras. Through this arrangement, Moras will spend the next six months promoting 1933 Industries’ Action Sports Division, as well as its Canna HempX brand.
The Action Sports Division was launched by Infused MFG, the manufacturer of Canna HempX-branded products, and a subsidiary of 1933 Industries. Right now, the goal of this initiative is to join forces with professional athletes to create a broader awareness of the company’s cannabinoid (CBD) sports recovery cream.
“First launched in collaboration with Grizzly Griptape LLC in 2018, the Canna Hemp cream has seen a surge in interest from the skateboarding community and is now branching out to attract the mixed martial arts sports division,” read a press release.
Born in Sechelt, B.C., but based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Moras competes in the UFC’s bantamweight division and has a fight record of 5-5.
“I am pleased to represent Canna HempX,” commented Moras. “Training multiple times a day is exhausting and takes a toll on my body. With Canna HempX CBD, I am able to push harder, recover quickly and stay focused longer.”
“We have launched our Action Sports Division to engage and educate athletes about CBD recovery, with a focus on health and wellness”, added Chris Rebentisch, USA Chief Operating Officer and Founder of Infused. “Ms. Moras is an ideal athlete to represent our brand and we look forward to working with her in this initiative.”
In addition to the aforementioned sports recovery cream, 1933 Industries has a sizeable product line consisting of both medical and adult-use cannabis products like pre-rolled joints, vape pens, dry cannabis, oils, and lotions.
1933 Industries also owns 91% of the Alternative Medical Association and continues to expand its sizeable cultivation efforts in Nevada.
